Set up your household
- On first launch, choose “Set up”.
- Enter your names. Alone works too.
- Enter the net paychecks and the big fixed costs. The funnel is ready right away.

Getting started
- Add your paychecks. Both net paychecks go into the top of the funnel.
- Fixed costs and savings. Rent, health insurance, taxes and savings flow out. Each month is its own copy.
- Allowance at the bottom. What is left is split fairly: by income, 50/50 or your own percentages.
Guides
Invite your partner
- Open the Household tab.
- Tap “Invite your partner” and send the link in Messages.
- On the other iPhone, open the link and confirm “Join”.
Show a QR bill
- In the Accounts tab, add an account with IBAN and address.
- In the month, under “Standing orders to update”, tap the QR symbol.
- Scan the code with your banking app. Amount and message are filled in.
Change a line from a month on
- In the month, tap the line.
- Change the amount. It applies from this month on.
- If a standing order changes, it shows up in the checklist.
Frequently asked questions
Does the app need an account?
No. There is no sign-in. The household is on your device and, if you are signed in, in your iCloud.
How do we share one budget?
In the Household tab, tap “Invite your partner” and send the link. Whoever opens it sees and edits the same household on their own iPhone. Both need their own Apple ID with iCloud.
What is free, what costs?
The funnel for the current and next month, accounts with QR bills and sharing are free. Pro unlocks stats, past months and planning twelve months ahead, as a one-time purchase with Family Sharing.
When does the next month start?
On payday. Set the day in the Household tab.
How do I delete everything?
Delete the app. For the data in iCloud: in iPhone Settings under iCloud, delete the data of Trichterli.
Restore purchases
In the Household tab, tap “Trichterli Pro” and choose “Restore Purchases”. You need the same Apple ID as for the purchase or a member of the same Family Sharing group.
